So, I finally decided to get to the topic I had forgotten and abandoned: Internet fraud and scams on the Internet.

I think that I shouldn't have stopped writing such posts. I promise to improve in the future and start right now. I even created a separate section it is called "Fraud on the Internet."

All articles on this topic will now be there.

Of course, I'm not going to constantly bomb my blog with such posts, but sometimes, so to speak, for a change, I will do it.

I myself am interested in reading about various methods of deception, fraud, since I myself, out of inexperience, got into such situations, and there are many acquaintances, with examples of which there is something to write.

I think that this topic will be especially interesting and even necessary for beginners who are just starting to look for opportunities to make money on the Internet. I hope my articles will help them avoid wasted time, get scammed or lose their money.

This article focuses on the most common types of scams and scams on the Internet. Here I will list the common ways of deceiving people, and in the future I will write about some of them in more detail in separate posts.

Fraud is a deception, a method of obtaining money and other values, based on the gullibility of citizens. In common people, fraud is also called a scam.

Types of Internet Fraud

Let's start with perhaps the simplest and most harmless way to deceive gullible people.

There are no ways of deception here.

Instagram, Facebook and other social networks today, almost every Internet user has their own accounts in these networks.

Fraud here is that when you try to enter a social network to unblock your account, you are asked to send an SMS to a number.

Do not do this under any circumstances! A lot of money will be taken from you for this SMS.

Electronic wallets

Today, an increasing number of Internet users get themselves electronic wallets. These are Paypal, Google Pay and others.

One of the types of fraud is that you receive an e-mail message stating that your wallet is blocked and you need to follow a link and enter your personal data.

In no case should you do this! Solve all problems related to electronic wallets only with the help of the support service.

 

SMS Scammers

Everything is simple here. You are asked to send an SMS to any number, they tell you that it is completely free, or it costs, for example, only 10$. After you have sent an SMS, an amount of money is debited from your mobile account ten times higher than the declared cost of sending an SMS.

All self-respecting and conscientious organizations, companies and services do not use such things.

Do not send any SMS anywhere. If there is a great need, then try to find out the real cost of SMS to the number.

For example, this can be done by entering the query into the search bar of any search engine: "The cost of sending an SMS to a number ... ...".

Software fraud

The point is that when a new program, game, movie, etc. is released. New items appear on torrent trackers.

A person downloads this software, and then packs it into an archive that protects it with a password and distributes it on the network. Spreads out under the guise of free!

You download such an archive, and when unpacking it requires you to specify a password. To receive a password, send an SMS to the number.

Windows blockers

When working on the Internet, especially on a computer that does not have anti-virus protection, you can get viruses. Windows blockers are one of the varieties.

The virus penetrates the user's computer (this process can happen automatically and unnoticed) and adds its code to the system startup.

After restarting the computer, the operating system is blocked, a message appears about the need to send an SMS to the number ... This may contain threats of data destruction.

Do not be afraid of this divorce. To unlock the system, you need to enter a code that can be found on the Internet using search engines or on the websites of anti-virus software manufacturers.

 

Phishing

The Internet fraud is purpose of which is to collect information (personal data, passwords) from the user. Phishing is translated as catching, fishing.

Phishing works in the following way. A letter comes to your e-mail notifying you that you urgently need to update (transfer) your personal data in any system.

For example, a bank card - You are told that there was some kind of system failure and the data is damaged or lost. Phishes' messages often contain threats, such as blocking an account, account, etc.

Programs for hacking various payment systems

Scammers offer super programs that are designed to hack e-wallets. Having paid money for such a program, the user gets absolutely non-working software, and even worse, some kind of virus on his computer.

 

Financial pyramids

For a small fee, for example, $ 10, you are offered a fabulous income, which you will receive from attracting new partners to this organization.

Financial pyramids often include various MLM companies that sell unnecessary goods of dubious quality.

The main difference between MLM companies and pyramid schemes is the availability of the product they sell. But if this product is g ... but, then this is a kind of financial pyramid, and nothing more.

It is not worth paying money to join such organizations.

Training, personal sales, recruiting new partners, and no fees! These are the main hallmarks of a bona fide MLM company.

Here are the main signs of online fraud:

• Spreading tempting offers using letters from strangers. Remember, self-respecting, bona fide organizations and companies do not use spam in their activities;
• The need to enter personal information on dubious resources. Here I do not mean well-known and popular resources like Google pay, Facebook and others;
• The requirement to send SMS;
• The promise of huge incomes per hour of work per day. This does not happen friends! To get money and do nothing, you first need to work like a damn day and night, building your business, it takes years.
